Childcare
Children who go to the kindergarten are brought to the surrounding kindergarten at 8am and picked up at 12pm. After lunch, they will be brought to kindergarten again at 2pm and picked up at 4pm.
It is important to us that children are able to move and go out sufficiently. That’s why we go outside once a day with them. Since we spend time outdoors in any weather, it is important that the children are dressed in accordance with the weather.

Winter project – Art Ice Rink Margarethen
Summer / Autumn project – farm and forest
We alternately went to the woods or to the farm once or twice a week. We were able to involve children of all ages in that project. This project was also a source of great pleasure for everyone.

,,Purzelbaum” – Project (December 2013 to April 2015)
Autumn fair (,,Chilbi”)
Since the opening in 2009 we went to the autumn fair in small groups. We ordinary go there several times a week. In addition to the trails we also explore the culinary specialties of the autumn fair. As the project was accompanied by much enthusiasm we kept on doing it during the next years until now.
,,Basler Fasnacht”
We go to the ,,Fasnacht’’ every year to enjoy the colorful and happy costumes and moving along the streets. Also the children enjoy ,,Waggis’’ who throws sweets at them and makes them laugh. In addition, in 2019 and 2023 we have successfully carried out our internal carnival parade. Both times we were accompanied by a “Fasnachtsgugge”. The parade met with a great positive response.
Day trips
We take the children for walks in the neighborhood (Birs, Bruderholz, Grün 80…), use the surrounding playgrounds, regularly go to the public library, the zoo or the museum. The children also like to play in our backyard.
To ensure safety, we stay only in small groups especially in the swimming pools and also at the artificial ice rink, the carnival and the autumn fair.

Daily routine
- 06:30 The daycare center opens
- 07:00h – 08:00h As needed, a Z’morge is offered for the children who have not eaten breakfast at home.
- 07:00h – 08:25h Morning run-in time
- 08:30h Welcome ritual and Z’nüni (seasonal fruits and rusks)
- 09:00h – 11:00h We go for different activities e.g. free play, handicrafts, painting, walks etc.
- 11:00h – 11:15h Ritual (singing, movement games, looking at books)
- 11:15h – 12:00h Lunch
- 11:50h The kindergarten children are picked up from the kindergarten.
- 12:15 Brushing of teeth. The younger children go to sleep while the older children either rest or do a quiet activity (looking at books) after lunch.
- 13:00h – 14:00h Walk-in and pick-up time over lunch.
- 14:00h The kindergarten children are brought to the kindergarten
- 14:30h – 15:30h The afternoon is similar to the morning.

- 16:00 The kindergarten children are picked up from the kindergarten.
- 16:30h – 17:50h Evening pick-up time

Nutrition
When it comes to nutrition, we attach great importance to providing a child-friendly, balanced and varied diet. The food is daily freshly prepared. If your child has allergies, is being fed vegetarian or is not allowed to eat something for other reasons (for example religious reasons), please inform us on the registration form. We do not have a cook. We cook our lunch ourselves. The children influence our menu by their wishes and ideas.

- Bring anad pick-up time at noon 13:00h – 14:00h
- Pick up time in the evening 16:30h -17:50h
Opening hours
Montag to Friday from 07:00h to 18:00 – except on free-days or intern holidays.
Parents will be informed about internal vacations in a timely manner.
